GWE & Friends Updates

GWE member survey is open now

Please fill out our GWE member's survey found below. We want to get a pulse on social events, ideas for PhD 101 series, and other things people would like to do with GWE this year!

Become a SWE mentor!

The GWExSWE mentorship program is a great way to connect with undergraduate UCB SWE members and pass along your wisdom and experiences!

Mentors and mentees will have a mentorship session every month, they can meet on their own time and we will provide them with guided activities to follow during their mentorship sessions. The first event will be an in person kickoff event at the end of September, date TBD. After that event, everything is up to the mentor/mentee pair of how, where, and when they want to meet.

Sign up for the program here!
Participate in the GWE buddies program

Are you a returning graduate student who would like to help a first year grad student adjust to Berkeley? Or a first year grad student who would like an older grad student to answer your questions and show you the ropes of grad school? Join our buddies program!

Please fill out either the first year student form or the returning grad student form so we can learn more about you and find a good match! We will be providing information about you to the other mentees/mentors who enroll in the program so they can indicate their preference on who their buddy is. Before we assign buddies, we will host a meet-up for everyone interested in the buddy program so that y'all can meet the potential buddies.

The sign up deadline is this Friday, September 24th at 11:59 PM
