1pm, Monday, September 26th: Seminar on energy related professional paths in industry.
In connection with the Designated Emphasis program in Energy Science and Technology here at Cal, Prof.Carey has invited Dr. Claire Wemp to give an invited seminar on energy related professional paths in industry. Claire is a recent ME PhD grad, and she is now a Thermal Applications Engineer at Dupont Silicon Valley Technology Center in Sunnyvale. She is also Bay Area Dupont Women’s Network Chair. She would talk about her career pathway, experiences she’s had, and the current work that she does. (location TBA)

Nano Seminar Series | Informal Tea with Professors
In conjunction with the Nano Seminar Series (Fridays 2-3pm in 180 Tan Hall), there will be an informal tea with the visiting professors on the same day. This will be a casual conversation over food/coffee with a few other graduate students to chat about topics such as what it's like being a women in engineering, work/life balance, career path, etc. If interested, please email Avi Rosenzweig (victorr@eecs.berkeley.edu) to get more information about time/location
